ReplyDeleteHis latest is Galbraith Vaughn. He has a few profiles on FB (same photos). He's sent me a few messages, all of which I refused, and blocked and reported his profiles.

Deleteas of last night (2/19/18) he's now a Scott Galbraith on a peace keeping deployment in Syria. He's originally from Cleveland Ohio. I've already reported him on Facebook and blocked him or I would link it. His FB account has been up since September.

Now as Thomas Galbraith. Received Facebook friend request yesterday. I investigated then deleted the request immediately.
ReplyDeleteHave a new name for him as well. Shows Richard James.. Says name is Richard Galbraith. He is a Sgt stationed in Kabul Afghanistan. Told me he uses his dead brother's name for messages and just now said it was his dead uncle's name. Guess he thinks I have STUPID stamped on my forehead. Hahaha. His profile is already removed from POF (it was removed right after he posted a pic of Col William Galbraith on POF) and I am now getting ready to block and report him on Google Hangouts Chat. His screen name on POF was Love09922me. When I asked to video chat he said no against regs. Then when I asked him to send me a pic right away of him with his left index finger touching his nose he came up with this spiel of against regs. I knew after 1st pic he posted to pof and hangouts that he was a scammer and just wanted to see how far he would take it. By the way whoever the scammer is they have a good command of English and sentence structure.

English is the official language of Nigeria.. not all of the are bad at it, the best scammers work at being good.
Hi ScamHatersUnited! Thank you for your response. I totally agree. But even meeting someone face to face the old fashioned way holds no guarantees. I have run across several jerks face to face and several on dating sites that were not "military related". My favorite response to the ones on the sites or hangout? When they start asking is "No,not happening and oh by the way you are blocked". Should have done that with this one but didn't as I wanted to see how far he would carry it.
DeleteNever push a scammer and see how far you can take it. Good sentence structure can be achieved from Apps ! Good knowledge of things like 'can't video against regs' and letting him come out with a spiel is just giving him good scamming practice and tell me, how does anyone get good at what they do.. practice. Scammers get practice by 'I wanted to see how far he would carry it.'' and playing.
DeleteNO.. no guarantees on or off dating sites but at least they are real, are not going to rob you and maybe even make bank accounts in your name and generally commit massive fraud against you.
However, you knew from the first.. it should have been blocked from the first .. yes if you want the honest truth. Anyone keeps going with scammers is very foolish. VERY and makes it so much harder for the future of warning and stopping them making new victims.
However that is a message nobody wants to hear, sense nobody wants to accept and so it continues. A scammer never gets nothing....
